Tri-O-Gen Group today announces the completion of a €4.5 million financing round to fund the continued deployment of its ORC (Organic Rankine Cycle) units across Europe. The investment round, which was completed by Yellow&Blue Investment Management, a Dutch-based clean energy investor, also included a substantial investment from Tri-O-Gen’s management and founders.

Established in 2001, Tri-O-Gen produces ORC units which convert low value heat into high value electricity where heat would otherwise be wasted or cooled away to ambient air. Heat source examples include gas, diesel engine or small gas turbine exhausts, waste heat from industrial processes, heat from the combustion of bio fuels or waste or flare gas. Tri-O-Gen has already sold a number of units to operators in the Netherlands and is developing a network of strong sales partners in other European countries.
