MADRID & ZURICH--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- 20100303 --

EBD Group, the leading partnering firm for the global biotechnology industry, and ASEBIO, the Spanish Association of Bioenterprises, today announced that EBD Group’s partneringONE® will be the partnering and registration platform for BioSpain, which is widely recognized as the primary exhibition and conference for companies and professionals active in biotechnology in Spain.

BioSpain 2010, to be held in Pamplona, Spain, September 29–October 1, is an international forum for presenting research, technologies and services, and for analyzing and monitoring Spanish and international biotechnology product pipelines. It is the ideal place to connect with potential customers, partners, suppliers or investors. This year’s expected attendance of 1,100 professionals will feature more than 600 companies and institutions.

Utilizing partneringONE these professionals will be able to access the industry’s most sophisticated and efficient system for identifying and arranging meetings with potential partners. Leveraging the power of partneringONE, BioSpain ensures its position as the top Spanish partnering event.

“In the biotech sector, EBD Group is synonymous with partnering. As the producers of the world’s largest and most respected dedicated partnering conferences, EBD Group are the internationally recognized experts in facilitating connections among individuals and organizations in the life sciences,” said President of ASEBIO, José María Fernández Sousa-Faro.

Currently the partnering engine for 17 life science conferences, partneringONE generates over 28,000 partnering meetings annually and has become an important catalyst for the growth of the bio-economy.

The provisional agenda of one-to-one meetings will be available to delegates one week before the start of BioSpain 2010 and will be updated every day even during the event. EBD Group facilitates this process through reminders and personal assistance.

“We are delighted to be working with ASEBIO to help foster the collaborations that drive the future success of Spanish biotech companies. By selecting EBD Group’s widely recognized partnering service again, BioSpain is sending a signal that Spain is ready for business,” said Carola Schropp, President of EBD Group.
