   VIENNA, Austria--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 13, 2007--For the first
time in 15 years Vienna, the charming capital of Austria, will host
the 2007 European Audio Engineering Society Pro Audio Expo &
Convention. Set for May 5 - 8 at the Austria Center Vienna (ACV), the
122nd AES Convention has been designed to attract not only visitors
from the central European countries, but also from the growing audio
technology industries of Eastern Europe and Russia. The event will
provide a particularly wide focus and cover an extremely comprehensive
range of audio technology. The AES is the only international
convention where audio is the main theme.

"Our strong preparatory efforts, combined with some positive
market trends, have led to early successes for this event," said
Thierry Bergmans, Exhibition Manager of the European AES-Events in
describing convention growth. "Almost 40% of our confirmed exhibitors
are expanding their exhibits, and a number have returned as
participants after a short break from the convention. The exhibition
will fill new, purpose-built exhibition halls in the AVC, and there
seems to be a uniformly positive reaction to our decision to return to
Vienna -- in fact, the exhibit halls are almost full," Bergmans adds.

Beyond the technology exhibition, this year's AES Pro Audio Expo &
Convention technical program offers an exciting variety of
opportunities to share knowledge. These include high level Paper and
Poster Sessions, Workshops for discussion and Tutorials for learning.
Technical Tours will visit unique local audio venues. Exhibitor
Seminars and the popular practical Application Seminars launched at
last year's Paris Convention will provide attendees with many other
options.

Additionally, special programs on Live Sound, Broadcast audio
(Radio and TV) and Archiving will highlight three of the most
important topics in audio today. These events have been developed to
emphasize and illuminate the expanding and evolving range of issues
within these areas. The latest technological developments and
intriguing applications will also be addressed.

On May 5 and 6, Live Sound will be featured in a separate hall
equipped with loudspeaker arrays and digital mixing technology.
Broadcast (Radio and TV) and Archiving events will be held Saturday,
May 5 through Tuesday, May 8. The schedule has been coordinated to
provide visitors with sufficient time to see other papers, workshops
or seminars, and to explore the exhibition on their own.
